What is a Pillar in the Temple ?
1. Rev.3:12-13 A pillar is one upon which a structure rests and is vital, not a decoration.
2.The New Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven has no temple, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
3.The overcomers becoming pillars refers to a position of vital importance in the New Jerusalem,a building not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
4. Lucifer was once the anointed cherub that covers on the holy mountain of God and walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Ezek.28:13-14
5.Lucifer was part of the spiritual and eternal structure,but he WENT OUT. Through pride he became the rebellious satan.
6.The redeemed overcomers of satan will GO NO MORE OUT.
7.Hebrew and Greek words for pillar refer to power, glory, dignity. The covering cherub Lucifer fell and went out. The overcomers will abide forever as part of God's government.
Spirit of Jezebel
1. The virgin Mary through Roman Catholic dogma has been exalted to the position of "Queen of heaven".
2.Mary is thus considered divine just as Jesus the Son of God.
3.Then she was promoted to the supreme position of intercessor of man's sins.
4.The true intercessor for sins is Jesus Christ who shed his blood to atone for our sins.
5.Romanism has succeeded in substituting a human being for divine Christ, the true intercessor before God the Father.
6.Mary, a virgin girl went on to birth at least five other children.
7.Worship of Mary is idolatry. Just as Jezebel caused Israel to worship idols.
8.Many believe that once all other religions unite with Romanism it will become Mystery Babylon,the Mother of Harlots during the time of the Anti-christ.
9.Christians are commanded to come out away from her in Rev.18
10.Rev.2:18-29 I gave her space to repent of her fornication and she repented not. I will cast her into a bed and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation,except they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death;and all will know that I am he which searches the reins and the hearts;and I will give to everyone according to your works.
Doctrine of Balaam
1. Balaam desired honor, fame, position rather than humbling self.
2. Balaam inticed Israel to engage in wrong relationships.
3.Balaam inticed Israel to take on the customs of the world around them.
4.Balaam wanted to bring a curse on those God had blessed.
5. When a christian or church caters to the world to win it over, they soon find they are caught in spiritual fornication and are spiritually powerless.
6. God slew the Israelites who joined themselves to Baalpeor. God is just as jealous for purity and holiness now.
7. Beware of nonchristian relationships becoming too close.
Peculiar People
Come out from among them and be separate.
1. They don't come to church for socialization alone, but to worship.
2. They prefer a quiet spirit and caring rather than outward adorning of gold and silver and stylish clothes.
3. They esteem the fellowship of humble people rather than partying and bright lights.
4. They prefer an hour of fellowship with God or Bible study rather than conversation with popular worldly speakers or comedians.
5. They prefer knowing rather than showing.
Overcomer
1. Overcomer implies there will be conflict.
2. There are many enemies working with satan to try and defeat the believer.
3. One of the fierce enemies is our own flesh.
Flesh equals selfish desires of the body and spirit.
4. In today's world if you have attractions or desires that are according to God's Word sinful, we are encouraged to embrace them instead of exercising self control to refrain from sin.
5. Few are overcomers.
