Duped Again
1. American Family Assoc. magazine article entitled Duped tells how social engineers decided to use TV and movies to change American morals. Convincing us that wrong (sin) is right. The plan has obviously worked perfectly. Many today have their morals turned upside down from the Bible truth.2. I started watching Murdock Mysteries thinking that since it's based in early 1900's when they drove model T's and rode horses, the morals would be good.
3. But in season 2 episode 6 entitled "Shades of Gray" Murdock finds out his girl friend (the medical examiner) had an abortion when she was a younger, and said she had no regrets about it.
4. They portrayed the abortionist as being compassionate and caring, thinking he was keeping the girls safe. It was never implied that he was killing unborn children and leaving the girls to suffer for years to come. It was only stated that abortion was illegal.
5. Murdock's girlfriend felt she was justified because becoming a doctor (medical examiner) was more important than motherhood. Of course that's a total reversal of the truth. It was never mentioned that the innocent child could be adopted instead of killed. So it's abortion for convenience.
6.As a result of the circumstances Murdock, being a religious man and a stickler for the law, broke off the relationship. But he soon decides, in later episodes, he still loves her and chooses to follow his emotions instead of moral truth.
7. If his girlfriend had regretted her sin, repented, and asked forgiveness then Murdock could feel justified in forgiving her past, but she still continues to believe she is morally correct.
8. Many women today still suffer from past regretful acts. They find relief from emotional, mental, even physical anguish once they confess their sin, repent, and receive forgiveness from the Lord. Often they find it helps greatly to give the dead child a name and recognize its existence.
