Tasting With Your Spirit

1. Mankind is a trinity body, soul, and spirit.

2. The unsaved person's inner man, which is his spirit, is unconscious or dead to the things of God.

3. The spirit longs for fulfillment, purpose, and meaning.

4. The spirit remains unfulfilled unless it responds and allows the Holy Spirit to awaken its senses.

5. The empty spirit will fill itself with things. It will still remain unfulfilled and become enslaved to the temporary pleasures, and suffer the consequences of those pleasures.

6. Just as the tongue can sense flavors in the physical body, so the spirit can sense or taste the sensation of God's presence.

7. The Holy Spirit is able to communicate God's feelings and desires to our heart.

8. The spirit can sense the condition of our heart.

 9. By union with the Holy Spirit, the believer can become a partner with Christ in prayer, good works, love, patience, etc.

10. By spiritual taste, we can sense the truth of God's Word as sweetness to our soul.

11. Soon we will pass from this earthly body and exist in the spirit until our bodies are resurrected and glorified.

12. We will experience unspeakable glories in the heavenly world.

13. Seeking heart cleansing, we consecrate all to Christ, and receive an inward spiritual sensation of purity of heart.

God is Not Tolerant

1. According to Matthew 6:8 & 7:11 & 18:21. God is a loving and patient Father.
He even allows sin to go unpunished for a time.

But today's version of tolerance is not God's viewpoint.
Whatsoever you sow that shall you also reap.
God has every right to judge sin..

2. John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me."
Jesus message does not encompass all religions, instead his message is exclusive.

3. Rev.2:20-23 " I have this against you. You tolerate that woman Jezebel. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating food sacrificed idols. I will cast her on a bed of suffering and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely. Unless they repent of her ways, I will strike her children dead."
4. Rev.2:14 "You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols, and by committing sexual immorality."
5. Romans 1:18 & 26-27 "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men, who suppress the truth by their wickedness. ------Because of this God gave them over to shameful lusts (desires). Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural sexual relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent sexual acts with other men and received in themselves the penalty they deserved. "

6. 1 Cor. 6:9-10 " Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idle worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers---none of these will have a share in the kingdom of God.

Are You Tuned In ?

1. When you turn on the television you expect to see the same station you watched earlier. If it's not the station you expected, you don't blame the TV station. The station is still transmitting you just have the wrong frequency.

2. The same is true with God. If you are not hearing from God, it's not because he isn't speaking or transmitting his message to you.

3. The reason you aren't hearing from God is because you are tuned into the wrong frequencies.
4. What is occupying your thoughts and your time?

5. To tune into God's voice you should be reading and meditating/thinking about the Bible.

6. Other frequencies that also tune in his voice are prayer, and Bible based teachings or preachers.

7. Still other frequencies are Bible based songs and poems and dramas.
It matters not which genre music you enjoy most, as long as it's biblical.
You may prefer a Christian country, rock, alternative , or rap rather than hymns ; as long as the truth of the Scripture is being taught, that's what matters.

8. Be careful! Not all teachers and preachers are Bible based.

9. Many fall in the false doctrines by listening to Oprah or Dr. Phil and think there are several ways to reach God.

10. Many have fallen into false doctrines by reading literature that uses Bible verses to support their Self-help or New Age teachings.

11. Beware! The Bible teaches an exclusive one way to God.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and a life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Weak and Strong Faith

1. We think that living as Christians causes God to bless us. We serve God often out of self-interest trying to earn blessings.

2. This is a weak type of faith.

3. God does give us inward blessings of peace and fellowship with him.

4. God allows trials, temptations, tests, and afflictions to bring us from weak ( give me blessings ) faith ; to a stronger ( I will still trust you ) faith.

5. The world notices faith that remains in the midst of loss, trial, an opposition.

6. We must remain faithful and carry our cross of suffering as Jesus did, praying "Not my will, but yours be done".

7. As a Christian, suffering is an opportunity to share in Christ's suffering ; proving to Satan and the world that God's grace is sufficient.

8. Suffering as a Christian is also an opportunity to prove, we want to glorify God, not just be blessed.

9. Suffering as a Christian is an opportunity to prove to others that God loves us even in our times of suffering.

10. This life on Earth is a battleground. Satan desires to destroy us and our faith in God.

11. As Christians, we have God as our protector, but we are here to fight against the dark forces of evil.

12. God is growing us, and operating on us in times of affliction.
