Man Groans Within Himself

Man groans within himself waiting for the adoption; the redemption of our bodies.
Redemption always refers to the resurrection of the body, the completed act of redeeming grace.

After initial salvation, the Christian receives the first fruit or first installment of God's covenant, which is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God's pledge that we can be joint- heirs with Christ and be adopted fully at the resurrection and inherit all that Christ has for us.

We will inherit: perfect dominion ( lordship), perfect joy in God's presence, perfect exemption from evil, completed glory, completed possession of goodness.

Adoption includes public recognition before angels and men and that we have authority, possessions, dominion, and glory with Christ.

We are not fully adopted until our body is resurrected from the grave.
Once our spirit is joined with our glorified body, we will be fully redeemed.
Until that day our spirit groans for complete salvation.

Hope (faith)links us to our coming glory in the resurrected state.
Hope is the power by which we are saved.

Everything in our salvation experience is a progression toward full salvation, full adoption, full redemption.

The Holy Spirit works inside the believer to bring things of God's will to pass ; including prayers(groans).
We need to see prayer as cooperation with God's Spirit to accomplish God's will.
